Winds Blow — Blossoms Fall!
Opposites attract — Love Hates and Hate Loves. When in the cycle of hate it is difficult to remember those who love. America is currently involved in the cycle of hate — our children need to know this too, shall pass! There is nothing new under the sun!
Bringing back the story of a third-grade teacher who used blue eye/brown eye collars to teach her students about discrimination. The point being to help us think about how far are we willing to take hate?
It was the day after Martin Luther King, Jr. was killed when Jane Elliott used ‘Blue-Eyes — Brown-Eyes to teach her third-grade, white students, what it feels like to be discriminated against.

“Why’d they shoot that King?” Asked a third-grade student.
Jane Elliott told her students it is hard to understand what discrimination feels like without experiencing what it is like to be a black child. She asked her students if they would like to find out. Her students agreed.
Jane had been working on a lesson about Native Americans for Hero of the Month and decided to include Martin Luther King, Jr.
