This is not an attempt to change the traditional concepts of religion, it is simply a story of my own journey to find peace.
At the tender age of three I became a foster child within the church. Whatever amount of time I stayed with one family the changes to another family always took place after church services. Never did I see an exchange of personal belongings, we simply were invited to lunch. While I played with the children waiting for lunch my mother would disappear. When called in for lunch is I learned my mother had gone home and I now lived with this family.
I was registered into a church school where we had Bible classes everyday. I was a quirky child and asked lots of questions. As an eight-year-old, I told the Principal I did not believe the Adam and Eve story because if God is a God of Love He would never create a couple in His image, then place an evil tree in the garden to test the couple. Like He did not trust His own creation? This did not sound like a loving God!
As a teenager with questions I left the church, married and had five children. The current pastor of this church managed to talk me into bringing my children to a church picnic at the Country Club. Nice day, other children for my children to play with and good food.
My son was killed in a hit-and-run walking the sort distance home with his friend. He was three weeks from turning 12 and it was a back road with little traffic and close to home.
I kicked God out of my life and did not go to any church for 30 years! Afterwards, I randomly searched other religions and thought systems eventually settling on metaphysics. The study of cause, not the effects.
I accept we are all One-in Spirit. Like part of one big puddle. Thus, how I see you is how I see myself. If I see you in a negative way I silently forgive myself for forgetting we are One. One in the sense we all have the same wishes and desires. We are all searching for love, a good life, and happiness.
Do I believe in God? I do not believe in a giant, old man, sitting on a throne waiting to punish us. Einstein explained it best in 1925 with his Theory of Relativity E=MC2. He discovered by splitting an atom to its source it becomes Pure Vibrating Light (energy) the source of everything. With an intellectual intelligence.
This pure vibrating light sends out wave forms of probability which become atoms: atoms become molecules and so it goes, the Eternal Cycle.
