My beloved daughter drove three hours out of her way just to stop by and say ‘Hello’ to her mama.

After hugs and kisses we settled in for a friendly chat — or so I thought.

Thinking she was completing a transaction for her business as her

thumbs danced the cha-cha-cha across her iPhone, I excused myself

and finished tidying-up the kitchen.

Still at it when I returned, I commented on how busy her job was keeping her.

‘No, Mom, It’s Candy Crush,’ she responded.

‘Candy Crush?!’ I asked, like I know!

‘It’s a game,’ she offered without looking up.

The purpose is to match three or more of the same color until they all

disappear.

‘Hummm! That’s it? Like brain dead?’

‘No! Then you start over and try to reach a more difficult level.’

‘Then you win a prize, like money, or something?’

‘No! Mom, That’s not the point…!’

‘What is the point?’
